The Art of Procrastination: A Love Story with Food
Sometimes I find myself hating tasks I’m responsible for. Hate is a strong word, but I truly dislike doing mandatory tasks that are pending and are, unfortunately, my job. I find myself procrastinating on these tasks, doing everything that fills my cup before actually sitting down and completing them. And the thing I do most? I eat.
I hadn’t taken a deep dive into this until recently. Picture this: It’s Sunday evening, I have a pending obligation due on Monday, and here I am… eating. For the third time in 5 hours. Was I hungry? Probably not. However, it was absolutely crucial that I make a PB&J with banana slices on a French baguette ASAP before concentrating on this task.
Mind you, I had my laptop open, websites up, and a cup of water ready to go. And then the urge came, and I set my laptop aside to execute on this pending ache for sustenance.
