Just so you know, all these books are bestsellers, having sold millions of copies worldwide. I curated this list to be a helpful guide, regardless of where you find yourself on your spiritual path.

1. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho:

Santiago's epic quest for chasing dreams, decoding life's signals, and owning your destiny? Yeah, it hit home. It's like a green light to go after even the wildest dreams. Santiago's story showed me to bust through limits and trust that gut feeling.

I've devoured it many times, each reread revealing some hidden personal growth hack. The first time? No clue, but I do remember gushing to Coelho on Twitter back when it was still cool (major fangirl moment!). Santiago's journey awakened a purpose I didn't even know I had — like I stumbled upon my soul's hidden startup pitch in the middle of a sandstorm.

This story fueled my wanderlust for more than just Instagrammable beaches. It made me crave purpose, meaning, and understanding the whole "adulting" thing beyond bills and corporate America. Even years later, every reread ignites the same spark — that anything is possible if you ditch the comfort zone and follow your intuition like a boss.

2. The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz:

This book was a game-changer for me, introducing me to four principles that totally reshaped my outlook. The four agreements — speak with integrity, take nothing personally, make no assumptions, and always do your best — became my personal beacons for how I interact with others and see myself. They showed me a way to inner peace, pivoting from seeking outside approval to deepening self-awareness and embracing personal responsibility.

It taught me some major life lessons. Now, I only speak on topics I’m well-informed about, thanks to my own research. I’ve learned that if there’s an issue between someone and me, it’s often more about our own personal challenges and recognizing how we can improve. Every day, I strive to bring my A-game, both professionally and personally. By injecting joy and positivity into my interactions and learning not to take things personally, I’ve found a greater sense of happiness.

3. TheArtist's Way by Julia Cameron:

This book was like a key that unlocked a secret chamber in me, leading straight to the heart of my artistic and spiritual expression. Its transformative practices, like morning pages and artist dates, taught me to cultivate my creativity, embrace my vulnerabilities, and draw from the deep well of inspiration within me

I first caught wind of this book during an actor’s interview and was on the hunt for something to fuel my creative fire. It turns out this book is a staple in Hollywood, and it’s easy to see why. The exercises have become a part of my routine. Inspired by the book, I even snagged an art kit from Amazon and now, I find myself painting on my balcony every month. This book has opened my eyes to the creativity and inspiration that’s all around me, every single day.

4. The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle:

This insightful book was a game-changer, moving my focus from the chaos of my thoughts to the tranquility of the present. Its lessons on embracing the Now were eye-opening, carving a path towards inner serenity and liberation from incessant mental noise. Eckhart Tolle’s exploration of ego and consciousness wasn’t just enlightening; it set me on a profound journey of spiritual discovery.

“The Power of Now” took my meditation game to the next level. Meditation is my go-to for staying grounded in the present, and this book underscored its significance in a whole new light. I’ve practically worn out my highlighter on its pages, marking countless insights that I wanted to engrain in my memory. It’s easily in my top two favorite books, and there are days it claims the top spot.

5. The Art of Happiness by Dalai Lama and Howard Cutler:

This book masterfully merges Eastern wisdom with Western psychology, presenting a hands-on guide to fostering happiness. It reshaped my understanding of happiness, portraying it not as a momentary emotion but as a sustainable mindset nurtured through compassion, mindfulness, and gratitude. The Dalai Lama’s insights revealed that genuine happiness isn’t reliant on external circumstances but is found within. This revelation has been a cornerstone in my spiritual journey.

Admittedly, this was a slow read for me. It sat on my shelf for years before I finally got around to finishing it. But it was this book that sparked the idea for this blog post. In true Buddhist essence, it echoes everything about leading a happier, more fulfilled life.
