Finding Your Own Path: My Non-Traditional Spiritual Awakening
Quit My Job, Found My Soul
Diving deep into spirituality wasn’t something I’d always planned. It kinda just happened, you know? My twenties were this blur of parties, drinks, and the same old job grind. I wasn’t dealing with an addiction or anything serious; it was just life rolling by without much intention. Then, one birthday, amidst tears and a bit too much cake, I found myself asking the big questions, like, “Is this all there is?” I had some cool stamps on my passport and stories that could entertain, but deep down, something felt off.
That moment led to a major pivot — I quit my comfy job of seven years (God told me to do it). It sounds more dramatic than it was; I had a bit of a plan and some savings (thank goodness for those Apple stocks). But yeah, telling my boss I was peacing out with no solid next step was terrifying, I cried for weeks.
The next phase was like a detox for my soul. I gave up all the good stuff — booze, meat, sweets — for 40 days to clear my head and hopefully hear whatever guidance was out there. That silence and sacrifice led to one of my proudest creations, a patented product I still have big dreams for. And then there was this temp job that didn’t last but eventually looped back in the best way, proving that every step, every person placed in my path, was there for a reason. It was a foundational chapter in my faith, marked by serendipitous connections and opportunities that seemed divinely orchestrated. My temporary job and the relationships formed therein were not mere coincidences but pivotal steps guided by a higher power that led to greater returns. I grew my income over 20% that year.
This whole ride was more than just switching jobs; it was a full-on spiritual awakening. I dove into Christianity, found solace in YouTube sermons that actually made sense to me, and even got baptized—solo because my family didn’t get it (they were Catholic, and technically, I was already baptized as a baby). It was intense, feeling so connected to something bigger but also kind of isolated because not everyone was on board with this new me.
But here’s the thing: exploring spirituality meant pushing boundaries, asking questions, and not settling for easy answers. When I started mixing in New Age vibes with traditional beliefs, let’s just say not everyone was thrilled. That’s when I learned spirituality can be a solo trip. It’s about figuring out your own truth, even when it means fewer people get where you’re coming from. The more I explored, the lonier it got.
Now, I find myself in a spiritual space where I see myself as a reflection of Christ, embracing the “I Am” within. Believing in my own ability to create and attract miracles and exploring my journey into chakra activation. The further you delve, the fewer companions you’ll have who understand or accept your evolving beliefs. It’s a path less about loneliness and more about the unique courage to seek, question, and grow beyond the conventional confines of spirituality. The journey is lonely, yes, but it’s also a testament to the strength found in solitude and the unparalleled beauty of discovering the divine on one’s own terms. Here, you find your deepest strength and most profound connections to the universe.
Thank you, Jesus. Amen!
